Girl Gamer Grows
Well, I just love days like today. 7 a.m. history test and a 10 a.m. math test and had to brave 36 degree temps to get here. Ahhh, college life.
The history test was no problem, but this math test will be the death of me! I've been studying on a math website all morning and this stuff STILL looks like Greek to me! Imma Electronic Media major, when am I EVER gonna use |2x - 3| -4 = 2????
But enough complaining...and onto gaming.
With Splinter Cell Essentials on the horizon it became quite obvious to me what I had to do. I took advantage of a $300 tax refund and got myself a PSP. What's so cool about this is it's my first handheld, so, as the title of this posts says "Girl Gamer Grows".
I know it seems wierd to say a gamer is getting thier first handheld at 25, but due to thin finances growing up because of divorced parents, I just couldn't afford a handheld for a long time. As a matter of fact, that is the same reason I missed most of the second half of the 90's as far as gaming is concerned. It was only Splinter Cell that got me back into the fold a few years ago. Now, I'm back in the gaming loop and proudly carrying my new PSP with me, EVERYWHERE.
I got this PSP for $173 off eBay from a wonderful woman named Alicia, and she even included a game with it. Untold Legends: The Brotherhood of the Blade. It's pretty much a "hack and slash" RPG. You know, you start of with nothing and through playing and gaining expierence you earn progerssivley better weapons and armour. I was just going to sell it originally and use that money to get "The Sims 2". But when reality hit me that I likely wouldn't get enough to do so, I gave Untold Legends a try.
It's actually not bad. I was given the option to play as a female charater, which is always great. Considering this is my first handheld, this game has done very well in helping me get the hang of things. Like moving the camera with only one analog stick etc... The goal is to defeat this game before SCE comes out in a few weeks.....
but if I keep having so many tests in one day....that will never happen....>sigh<
